About

res novandae: n., Latin. Literally, the circumstances that must be changed. Figuratively, revolution.

I’m a Public Policy Studies major at Vanderbilt University.  Over the past few years, I’ve become all too aware of the dangers and evils that are facts of life for too many people in the modern world.  But I’ve also seen courageous and innovative men and women refusing to accept the status quo and working to make a substantial difference in the lives of others.

This blog is about the environment and human rights. It’s about the ways activists are harnessing the Internet to bring about true change. And it’s about the decisions we can make, as consumers and citizens, that will not cause others harm.  Even the small choices are worth making if it means saving a small piece of the world.

I’ve made what choices I can.  And now - because small pieces add up - I’m spreading the word.
